Day 1 – Saturday 29 Nov. Arrival in Cairo

 

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met and transferred to your  hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Collective meditation at the roof top terrace and getting to know each other.

 

 

  

 

 

 Day 2 – Sun. 30 Nov      Cairo – Pyramids

Breakfast at the hotel.  

Visit one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World: the Great Pyramids of Giza guarded by the spectacular Sphinx, built in 2620 BC. There are over 100 pyramids in Egypt, a few near Cairo.

Meditation and lunch at the pyramids.

 Optional visit to ancient Memphis, the first capital of upper and lower Egypt where you can visit the step pyramid of Sakkara, the earliest pyramid built by ancient Egyptians.  

 

Dinner at the hotel. Free evening to relax or extra option of attending the famous sound and light show at the Pyramids. Overnight at the hotel. 

 

Day 3 – Mon. 1 Dec.     Cairo – Museum and Old Coptic

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visiting the spectacular Egyptian antiquities museum that holds the world's greatest collection of Egypt's artifacts including Tutankhamun's elaborate sarcophagus, examples of treasures buried with the pharaohs, and the optional visit to the Mummies Room. Lunch in the city.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to discover the Old Coptic Cairo. Visits will include to the churches of Abu Serga (St.Sergius), St. George (Mari Girgis), Hanging Church & the Jewish Synagogue. 

 Yoga, meditation and a relaxing evening.

 

Day 4 – Mon. 2 Dec. Old Islamic Cairo

Visit Old Islamic Cairo with its beautiful architecture, old history, narrow alleys and markets. Visiting Khan Khalili Market. Visit the ancient Citadel of Salah El Din to witness its magnificent medieval architecture as well as Mohamed Ali Mosque. Meditation at a mosque and Egyptian pancakes for dinner.

 

 

Day 5 – Tues 3 Dec. Travel to Sinai Desert  

Enjoy the stillness of the Sinai desert, meditate and relax in the lap of nature. Stories around the fire in the evening.

 

 

Day 6 – Wed. 4 Dec.  Meditation and Yoga Retreat in the Sinai Desert

A day of meditation , yoga, philosophy class and walk to the ancient Nabatian village ruins.

 

 

  

Day 7 – Thur. 5 Dec. Meditation and Yoga Retreat in Sinai Desert

Meditation - Yoga - Bedouin Vegetarian meals - walk through the desert and an evening of songs and stories.  

 

 

Day 8 – Fri. 6. Dec. Climbing Mt. Sinai

Meditation yoga and breakfast at the eco lodge and then walk to St. Catherine and climb Mt. Sinai on camels and on foot, watch the sunset and return back to the eco lodge for a quiet evening.

 

 

Day 9 – Sat. 7 Dec.  Sharm el Sheik (Red Sea)

 Breakfast at the eco lodge and transfer to Sharm el Sheik Red Sea resort for a leisurely stay at the sea, swimming, snorkelling, diving or just relaxing in the sun.

 

 

Day 10 – Sun 8 Dec.  Sharm el Sheik (Red Sea National Park)

A day of enjoying the magnificent sea world of the National Park where you can dive or snorkel and see of the most beautiful sea treasures in this part of the world.

Transfer by flight to Luxor and stay at the hotel.

 

 

 Day 11 –Mon 9 Dec.  – Luxor  (East Bank)

 Visiting the famous Karnak Temple, mid-day meditation and picnic lunch near the temple. In the afternoon visiting Luxor museum and Luxor temple.  

 

 

Day 12 – Tues 10 Dec.           Luxor  (West Bank)

 A full day sightseeing of the West bank of Luxor, visiting the Necropolis of Ancient Thebes, the valley of the Kings an  Queens, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Temple of Ramses III. After lunch take the bus to Aswan.

 

 

  

Day 13 – Wed 11 Dec.  Aswan- Abu Simbel

 Visiting Abu Simbel temple close to the Sudanese Border and enjoying the light and sound show on Philae Island in the evening.

 

 

 Day 14 – Thur 12 Aswan

Visiting the Nubian Museum, and taking leave of Aswan sailing on a felucca down the Nile, enjoying the gentle breeze and the bliss and serenity of the moment on the ancient Nile the giver of all life to millions since times ...  Overnight on train to Cairo and departure.
